Biography
F. Eren writes dark fantasy in which safety is more dangerous than violence. No faraway kingdoms, only places you have actually been: a riverbank at the edge of town, a tarpaulin with faded glitter, a house where you have stopped being missed. His characters are outsiders who finally find a place that sees them, and who understand too late what being seen costs. Circkool is a tribute to his years in Bonn: to a community, a place, and friendships whose names he kept. The novel is his debut and the start of a series. F. Eren was born in Bonn and moved to Düsseldorf for work at twenty-three, where he works as a web developer and IT administrator. He writes at night, because sentences are too polite by day.
Blurb, short
On the banks of the Rhine in Bonn, Germany, stands a circus that shouldn’t exist. Fero “Feo” Aren is seventeen, and he knows the word the world has for people like him: madness. At Circkool, for the first time, he sleeps without fear. But once a month the moon is full, and once a month someone leaves the circus. No one ever comes back, and no one asks where they went. Feo will be the first to ask.
